MONDAY MONSTER (Part IX) 👹👼

MONDAY MONSTER (Part IX) 👹👼
Today was a Monday, that's for sure. A Monday in the cold weather, grey sky land.  But it ended on a beautiful note with a delicious glass of wine and a fabulous spin class with my sister! By getting to class it helped me realize that working out in the morning is super key for me. To start the day off with endorphins, with a mission accomplished, really helps me get more things done and feel better about life!

Yesterday was a really amazing day energy wise, being 11/11 and all. I sat down and meditated at 11:11 on 11/11. It was one of the most spiritual days I've had in weeks (well really since California). I did a meditation which called for 11 minutes of flow writing, so writing for 11 minutes straight, whatever comes to mind. My writing was filled with so many different thoughts about life; what I want/need/deserve, what I will accomplish and how much I can help people. Sometimes we don't always know what we want or how to get there and other times we have basic ideas but ultimately if you're open and you have faith in your journey it will come to you.

The meditation I was following asked you to look at what you had written for those 11 minutes, pick out the feeling words that were most prominent to you and visualize how they fit into your current and future life.  The words that popped up for me were love, empower, truth and peace.

I took some time visualizing as the meditation instructed, about what my life would look like with the words truth, empowerment, love and peace.  I focused on my words and thoughts and ended with my  final mantra, "My intention moving forward is to pray boldly, and have faith in what I am doing, to never lose the light and keep my vibrations high no matter the environment."

Top three things that brought me happiness on this Monday
  • Oiling up! I really needed some Believe oil this morning and as one of my oily bff's reminded me, putting En-R-Gee on my adrenals to work on stress levels! 🌊
  • Getting in a fabulous spin class in the evening! 🚴
  • Watching an amazing Hallmark movie with my sister called "Loving Leah". Best Hallmark movie ever.  The synopsis goes like this, "When Leah, a young Orthodox Jewish woman, is widowed by her rabbi husband, an old religious law dictates  she must either denounce him or marry his younger brother Jake." ✡🙏

MONDAY MONSTER (Part VIII) 👹👼

The Monday Monster. I am so happy I started this consistent blog post each week. Some days I'm far more inspired than others. This weekend was one of the most interesting ones that I had in awhile. There were so many emotions and thoughts and fun times had that I still don't quite know how to process all of them.🤷

So this morning, I woke up and made the decision to get up and go to spin🚴, even though I was exhausted (these time changes always mess with me!), I knew I'd be happier if I got out of bed. It's not just the literal physical movement of spinning but it's getting out of the house, moving to music and seeing other people. It can sometimes be isolating to work from home if you don't get out and chat with people!- (although at the same time I seriously love it and can't imagine anything different!), so it's important to get out and socialize! I clearly felt good about getting in a spin class before 7am too!

There are a lot of positives to this Monday!
Top three things that brought me happiness on this Monday
  • Oiling up! I applied (as I do almost every morning) a couple of drops of clary sage and ylang ylang on my wrist and behind my ears. This is really helpful for hormone balancing! 🌊
  • Getting started reading a book that I haven't read in awhile! The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy that was given to me years ago 🎁💪 but it's always good to revisit things that teach you so much!
  • Taking time to calm myself down when things got a bit crazy; deep breathe, journal, close my eyes and repeat my mantra of the day “every day I attract people and opportunities that grow my YL business quickly with grace and ease”. 🙏

MONDAY MONSTER (Part VII) 👹👼

MONDAY MONSTER (Part VII) 👹👼
This week the Monday Monster could have taken over, it would have been easy to let it. I was away from my sunny happy California 🌞🌊 life (back there in Feb!), did a whole lot of nothing on Saturday (which was actually kind of nice, so working on the balance of guilt and enjoyment for doing that🤔), have literally over 1,000 unread emails to either delete or attempt to read or save for later-whenever that is 🤷-and in reality I could keep listing the things that could have 'won'. But I won't, because there is so much more to be positive about!  I like to list those out too! I have some delicious hot slique tea next to me (since for me it's quite cold already here in Chicago❄️), I have a beautiful home office to work out of, clean sheets on my bed (I definitely count this as a positive because I have laundry where we are living and don't have to take it out of the house to do!), my family who supports me through thick and thin (sometimes I cry with gratitude over how blessed I am with this one!👨‍👩‍👧‍👧) and oh so many more things!

I like when I'm able to let the positive win, to look around and see all the good and not all the things that could stress me out. It doesn't always happen and sometimes it's a battle or really it feels like I'm trying to pull myself out of a deep dark cave and my hands keep slipping on falling rocks, the beads of sweat on my forehead keep getting in my eyes, but I keep trying not to look down at the dark abyss and focus more on the light above. So I decided the light will win today, and I will stay out of that cave and in the sunshine 🌞.

Top three things that brought me happiness on this Monday
  • Oiling up! This morning I put in my diffuser my favorite combination as of late; Joy and Abundance. Joy has Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Jasmine, Palmarosa, Rose, Bergamot, Lemon, and Tangerine which seriously bring me Joy! And Abundance has Orange, Frankincense oil, Patchouli, Clove, Ginger, Myrrh, Cinnamon, and Black spruce. So much yumminess!
  • Starting my day off working on my business; the business of helping people live a healthier, happier life!
  • Keeping any small negative or stressful thoughts out of my brain!👑💃

MONDAY MONSTER (Part VI) 👹👼

MONDAY MONSTER (Part VI) 👹👼
Monday Monster time! Today has actually been a wonderful day, nothing overly spectacular but at the same time, peaceful and accomplished. I normally struggle through Mondays (hence the weekly post) with more negative feelings than positive-even though I do like my jobs and my life. Prior to this recent time spent in 🥑California🌅, Mondays would be a struggle but last Monday really wasn't and frankly this one hasn't been either. I think if I had another Monday in 🥑California🌅 I'd have to change the structure of my posts! (So when I do move here, look out for that!) This morning work threw me a small curve ball, I could have teared up or given up, but I didn't. I help strong and had a great day!-It was like the negative thought didn't even hit my forcefield of upbeat thoughts!

I am often able to share most when I'm not feeling so upbeat, the feelings are more translatable I think, than simply feeling happy. Some of us struggle or used to struggle with how it really is okay to feel happy (even if there are horrible things going on in the world), that spreading the happy vibes helps those around you, almost like pay it forward with your smile or kind actions.  ❤️‍❤️‍

Top three things that brought me happiness on this Monday
  • Oiling up! #believeoilforthewin
  • Going live with my one of my oily friends, Caitlin-so much fun to share amazing things that help people!
  • Keeping any small negative or stressful thoughts out of my brain!👑💃

THE MONDAY MONSTER (Part V) 👹👼

THE MONDAY MONSTER (Part V) 👹👼
This week's Monday Monster was harder than previous weeks to write, because I truly didn't feel like I was fighting anything. I woke up a bit tired, but got right out of bed, brushed my teeth and sat down to my computer to start the day. But as the day wore on, it was a bit more difficult. I realized all of the things I had to do and wondered how on earth 🌎 I'd get to all of them?!

But instead of wallowing or just not getting anything done, I looked at what I had been reading last night, which was "The 5 Second Rule" by Mel Robbins. Mel was at our convention in Utah this year and it was just 'wow'! The premise is, whenever you are thinking of something you have to do, simply countdown from 5,4,3,2,1 and get up and do it! So Mel started this when she couldn't really manage to get up out of bed, she'd hit the snooze button on her alarm 5 to 10 times but then one night she was watching a rocket launch and hearing the person on the TV countdown, 5,4,3,2,1 launch, she felt like she could rocket herself out of bed the next day-and she did! There is obviously a lot more to her journey but reading about this aspect pushed me to do things today that I hadn't ever done or didn't really want to do.

Top three things that brought me happiness on this Monday
  • Oiling up! #believeoilforthewin
  • Riding one of these crazy scooters through Venice beach
  • Taking action! I got right out of bed. got my workday started and got so much done!👑💃

Meet Leah Negrin

I am a bold, beautiful, sometimes timid, usually happy, essential oil, nutrition junkie. Although at 39 I feel as if I've had several careers over a lifetime (or at least sometimes when I look back at my resume that is what shines through). I've been a paralegal, an office manager, an administrative assistant, worked in commercial lending and have finally landed on nutrition.

My journey to nutrition started many years ago when my sister was diagnosed with celiac disease and food had to change for the family. From there, along my own health journey I’ve helped people not only figure out what to eat but how to do it so that it can work for them sustainably. For almost seven years I’ve been counseling people on their nutrition and weight loss journeys.

I am knowledgeable about what purpose food serves your body and I focus on finding sustainable options when it comes to food; this also led to my love of essential oils. I had the opportunity to attend a workshop where a registered dietitian spoke about using essential oils in her practice to help her patients. I was floored. I knew that #plantsheal but I didn't realize that others in the 'conventional' medical community thought that as well!! Learning that it was possible to incorporate these magical little bottles gave me a huge sense of hope.

As I learned more about these oils I was diagnosed with increased intestinal permeability or as many of us know it, leaky gut. Leaky gut has been around for quite awhile but many of us are just learning what this is or why this is even more common these days than ever before. Many issues can be related to leaky gut including autoimmune diseases. Receiving this diagnosis just led me down a path further to learn about nutrition and how to best serve my body and take care of myself.

Since birthing our sweet baby boy at home earlier this year I’ve been incredibly passionate about helping other women too who are pregnant and new mothers with their nutrition. Eating healthy for your pregnant body and your postpartum self is a game changer for both mother and baby.
