MONDAY MONSTER (Part IX) 👹👼
Today was a Monday, that's for sure. A Monday in the cold weather, grey sky land.  But it ended on a beautiful note with a delicious glass of wine and a fabulous spin class with my sister! By getting to class it helped me realize that working out in the morning is super key for me. To start the day off with endorphins, with a mission accomplished, really helps me get more things done and feel better about life!

Yesterday was a really amazing day energy wise, being 11/11 and all. I sat down and meditated at 11:11 on 11/11. It was one of the most spiritual days I've had in weeks (well really since California). I did a meditation which called for 11 minutes of flow writing, so writing for 11 minutes straight, whatever comes to mind. My writing was filled with so many different thoughts about life; what I want/need/deserve, what I will accomplish and how much I can help people. Sometimes we don't always know what we want or how to get there and other times we have basic ideas but ultimately if you're open and you have faith in your journey it will come to you.

The meditation I was following asked you to look at what you had written for those 11 minutes, pick out the feeling words that were most prominent to you and visualize how they fit into your current and future life.  The words that popped up for me were love, empower, truth and peace.

I took some time visualizing as the meditation instructed, about what my life would look like with the words truth, empowerment, love and peace.  I focused on my words and thoughts and ended with my  final mantra, "My intention moving forward is to pray boldly, and have faith in what I am doing, to never lose the light and keep my vibrations high no matter the environment."

Top three things that brought me happiness on this Monday
  • Oiling up! I really needed some Believe oil this morning and as one of my oily bff's reminded me, putting En-R-Gee on my adrenals to work on stress levels! 🌊
  • Getting in a fabulous spin class in the evening! 🚴
  • Watching an amazing Hallmark movie with my sister called "Loving Leah". Best Hallmark movie ever.  The synopsis goes like this, "When Leah, a young Orthodox Jewish woman, is widowed by her rabbi husband, an old religious law dictates  she must either denounce him or marry his younger brother Jake." ✡🙏

What is one thing you did today to beat the Monday Monster?! 👻 ❤️‍❤️‍👻

Meet Leah Negrin

I am a bold, beautiful, sometimes timid, usually happy, essential oil, nutrition junkie. Although at 39 I feel as if I've had several careers over a lifetime (or at least sometimes when I look back at my resume that is what shines through). I've been a paralegal, an office manager, an administrative assistant, worked in commercial lending and have finally landed on nutrition.

My journey to nutrition started many years ago when my sister was diagnosed with celiac disease and food had to change for the family. From there, along my own health journey I’ve helped people not only figure out what to eat but how to do it so that it can work for them sustainably. For almost seven years I’ve been counseling people on their nutrition and weight loss journeys.

I am knowledgeable about what purpose food serves your body and I focus on finding sustainable options when it comes to food; this also led to my love of essential oils. I had the opportunity to attend a workshop where a registered dietitian spoke about using essential oils in her practice to help her patients. I was floored. I knew that #plantsheal but I didn't realize that others in the 'conventional' medical community thought that as well!! Learning that it was possible to incorporate these magical little bottles gave me a huge sense of hope.

As I learned more about these oils I was diagnosed with increased intestinal permeability or as many of us know it, leaky gut. Leaky gut has been around for quite awhile but many of us are just learning what this is or why this is even more common these days than ever before. Many issues can be related to leaky gut including autoimmune diseases. Receiving this diagnosis just led me down a path further to learn about nutrition and how to best serve my body and take care of myself.

Since birthing our sweet baby boy at home earlier this year I’ve been incredibly passionate about helping other women too who are pregnant and new mothers with their nutrition. Eating healthy for your pregnant body and your postpartum self is a game changer for both mother and baby.
